Prescription requirements

All prescription medications require an evaluation by a licensed clinician, who determines whether a prescription is medically appropriate. Some medications require laboratory testing, follow-up visits, or ongoing monitoring before or during treatment. No prescription is guaranteed.

Pharmacy fulfillment

Prescriptions are dispensed and shipped by appropriately licensed pharmacies. Medication availability, formulation, and pricing may vary, and a clinician or pharmacy may substitute a clinically appropriate alternative when needed.

Compounded medications

Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient pursuant to a prescription. They are not FDA-approved, are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality, and are not equivalent to FDA-approved products. Compounded preparations are considered only when legally permitted and clinically appropriate.

Safe use

Take medications exactly as prescribed, read the information provided with your medication, and report side effects to your clinician promptly. Keep medications out of reach of children and never share prescription medications with others.
